Mr RMG Nkhi, founder of Mo Kae Di Farming

The Beginning

He Was An Engineer.
He Became A Farmer.
He Built An Empire.

The Man Behind The Mission

Mr Reitumetse Mokaedi Gladwin Nkhi did not come from farming. He came from engineering. A qualified civil engineer, trained to solve problems with precision, to understand systems, to find where things break and fix them.

He worked in industry. He had a career. By most measures, he was doing exactly what a young South African is supposed to do — study hard, get a good job, climb the ladder. And then he stopped. Not because the ladder broke. Because he could see exactly where it led. And it was not where he wanted to go.

Founder with young cattle

"Food is the one thing every single person in the world needs, every single day. I wanted to be in the business of something that can never go out of demand."

— Mr RMG Nkhi, Founder & Director

The First Purchase. And The Heartbreak That Followed.

His first serious investment in farming was cattle. He bought young cattle. He was careful. He did his research. And then he lost them. Not through negligence — but through the invisible gap between theory and practice that catches every first-generation farmer who has no one to learn from beside them.

That loss would have ended most people's farming ambitions before they started. For Mr Nkhi, it did the opposite. It clarified exactly what was missing. Not enthusiasm. Not money. Not land. Knowledge. Community. Mentorship. Systems.

He did not quit farming. He decided to build the thing that would have saved his cattle — and the thing that would help every person who would face the same situation after him.

Not A Dream. A Decision.

Mo Kae Di Farming is not a passion project. It is not a social enterprise built on good intentions. It is a registered, commercially operating South African farming company — with a trademark, a B-BBEE Level 1 certification, and a National Youth Development Agency endorsement.

Over 2,000 people are connected to this community. Over 3,000 students have been reached through outreach and education programmes. Livestock cycles have been completed. Crops have been grown. Food has been produced. This is not a plan. This is already happening.

"You Can Copy The Harvest. But Never The Soul Behind The Seasons."

— Mr RMG Nkhi

What This Means For You

If you have ever thought you started too late — you have not. Mr Nkhi built this after a full career in another field. If you have ever thought you do not have the right background — you do not need one. He learned from failure, not from a farming family.

The reason Mo Kae Di Farming exists as a community is precisely so that the next person does not have to start from scratch. The knowledge is there. The systems are there. The community is there.

All you have to do is join.
